I was born in Russia and as soon as they allowed people to leave, we went to Israel, stayed there for a few years until eventually moving to Canada where I grew up. From a young age I knew that Canada wasn't my forever home due to the weather but as I grew older and experienced things like the pandemic, I realized that this 'nice' country wasn't for me. I love how in America there are many options - if you're more liberal minded, you can live in California while if the opposite is true, you can choose Texas. I love how in America , success is celebrated and if you work hard and smart you can get a ahead.
I also believe that if you don't have freedom of speech, you don't have freedom and that's one of the best things about this nation.
My dad later become American but the family based process takes about a decade so meanwhile I’ve been getting annual musician visas. I was recently presented with an opportunity to get a long term artist Visa but with everything said and done it will be about $15,000-$20,000.
