I was heartbroken when I found out Kirk was assassinated (and still have many questions, as the mainstream narrative doesn't add up.)
As a musician, writing is how I process and cope with everything I feel—and I hope this song connects with you on that level.

The story
When I found out Charlie was assassinated I was heart-broken and started writing:
I couple days later, in a very liberal city (Asheville) I went to an open mic. I had no intention putting myself out there to sing it but when a young lady (Papaya) read a poem/story dedicated to Charlie Kirk, I was inspired to be vulnerable and sing it. Luckily she recorded it:
It went better than I thought and I struck up a conversation with a musician who went up before me who had a beautiful voice; Nate Carter. He later said he teared up while I was performing Charlie's song. I showed him my recording studio and he asked if he could be a part of the song. He came up with 2 versus and most of the bridge.
Nate is also a professional multimedia designer so we started shooting a music video. It's almost finished, and here's a sneak preview: (coming shortly)
